Although almost everyone in the world is aware that today's Olympic Games have their origin in the quadrennial games of Olympia, Greece, many people do not know that other sanctuaries in ancient Greece also hosted games. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Emergency Fund, which will directly benefit the families affected by the wildfires.

The Parthenon is proud to present the exhibition First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare, on tour from the Folger Shakespeare Library. This nationally touring exhibit comes to Nashville courtesy of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D. C., in honor of 400 years since William Shakespeare's death. Accompanying the rare book will be a multi-panel exhibition exploring the significance of Shakespeare, then and now, with additional interactive activities.
