Sylvia Rapoport serves as President of The Conservancy, with ultimate responsibility of oversight for the business and operations of the organization. A native Nashvillian, Sylvia studied and lived in London and Boston before returning to her home in Tennessee. Her passion for the Parthenon and Centennial Park began as a child, when the Parthenon was the defining piece of architecture in a town before it turned into a metropolis. A former Board Member with the organization with over 15 years of active involvement, she views the Parthenon and Centennial Park as places that champion arts and culture, music, history, education, environment and health and wellness. Sylvia has been involved locally and nationally on over 20 different boards and continues to celebrate the creative, capable, growing community of Nashville.
