Donate to Sustain
Nashville’s Central Park.

Help us ensure this vital public green space remains a welcoming destination for recreation, culture, education, and community connection for all.

Centennial Park Conservancy is the nonprofit support organization for Centennial Park and the Parthenon. We partner with Metro Parks to sustain the vibrancy of these thriving public spaces.

Dedicated donors help Centennial Park Conservancy present accessible programming at the Parthenon, Musicians Corner, Kidsville, Nashville Earth Day Festival, and more. Through your support, we will continue revitalizing historic structures, preserving natural and recreational green space, and sustaining the gem that is Centennial Park for future generations.

SPECIAL TAX RULES FOR THOSE AGE 70-1/2 AND OLDER

If you are 70-1/2 or older, you can use your IRA or other tax-deferred account to your tax advantage while simultaneously supporting Centennial Park Conservancy. If you are age 70-1/2 or older, IRS rules require you to take a required minimum distribution (RMD) from this type of retirement account. This RMD withdrawal is taxable income and can result in pushing you into a higher tax bracket. However, you can mitigate this tax burden by donating your RMD to Centennial Park Conservancy. Rules require the donation to be made by the account custodian directly to Centennial Park Conservancy. The funds cannot be withdrawn and paid to you with a subsequent donation to us. This tax strategy allows you to fulfill your philanthropic wishes, support Centennial Park Conservancy and lessen your taxes all at once. This exemption from taxation is limited up to $100,000 of your RMD. Please contact Wendy Buntin at 615-203-2252 if you are interested in learning more.

THANK YOU for partnering with us to support Centennial Park — the place Where Nashville Grows!
